Love

Love can hold many different faces... I was lucky enough to be a part of Dale and Ed's special day to show the world their love and commitment to each other. Here are a few images of that extremely special day.

I have a fascination with the "Coin" at the corner of Trade and Tryon. Any chance I can get to take photographs of it, I jump at the chance! I hope you enjoy.

Model Session with Jessica

I have been lucky enough to take some great pictures of this beautiful young lady. She is a joy to work with, and
I am looking for her to be very successful in the future with her model ling and her dancing career. I hope you enjoy these pictures.

Mike Lowery

I shot an assignment for the Rock Hill Herald where I was to get pictures of Mike Lowery. He is a pastor here in Rock Hill, SC that left a very large church several years ago to start a new church, Impact Church. This new church is close to breaking ground on a new building. A very cool assignment even if the photography was difficult. I hope you enjoy.

Going through some pictures, thought I would share

This red wall is just the most awesome thing ever! Chris and Stephanie were just so cute. The light was great, and I thought this was a great shot to show how much they loved each other.

I loved this shot. Samantha wanted to get some nice shots with her dog, Jackson, to give to her dad for Father's Day. It was a fun time and Jackson was a real trooper!

Engagment shoot

I had a blast playing with Brandon and Ashley. They are a beautiful couple getting married Sept. 4 in Wilkesboro, NC. We went to historic Fort Mill, SC and took a few shots for them to use as engagement pictures. I hope they had as much fun as I did!

Rock Hill Airport and Planes

I had the wonderful opportunity to shoot at the Rock Hill Airport. There were several airplanes and one of the Charlotte Medical Center's helicopters. I have always had a fascination with the Lifeflight helicopters. Here are a few photos from that shoot.

Mother's Day

I hope that all the mothers of the world were able to have the most pleasant of days. I was fortunate enough to be able to spend the day with my son along with my father, step-mother, brother, and his son. I don't have the opportunity to spend much time with my nephew. I am sure though when he gets older, he will not recognize me without a camera in front of my face. He is a total doll, and so photogenic. (I would say that even if he wasn't... he is my nephew!) Well, here are a few pictures of our day together... I hope you enjoy them, as much as I enjoyed taking them.

A few shots from my photography at Quail Hollow. I did not spend a lot of time on the golf course but I was able to meet some really remarkable volunteers that help the golf tournament go off without a hitch.

City Block Project

There were several organizations that organized an event to showcase photography in the Charlotte area. Their goal was to have as many photographers come to one city block and shoot for 24hours. This time they picked the block that contains the entertainment complex Epicenter. I went a little later at night trying to get some interesting shots, and here are a few of what I came up with. It is always interesting to be a part of something that can be wonderful for the photography community in Charlotte. I love to see how our art can make this area a better place!

Summer Time

There is nothing better than hearing the ding of a baseball hitting a bat while enjoying a cold beverage and some peanuts. It is a rite of spring/summer and a joy to watch the people around enjoy too. Everything is right in the world while you are in your seats watching the baserunner round 3rd going home. From the singing of the National Anthem to getting out of your chair and singing "Take Me Out To The Ball Game", there is nothing like a great baseball game! My wish is that everyone gets a chance to take in at least one baseball game this summer.

A Day in the Park with Pirates

Pirates, you say? Yes, pirates with swords and all. I was honored to be able to take pictures of The Lovely Liva J Wells and Captain James H. Newcastle. Lovely day, and pirates in the park, it was a fun time for us all.

Teacher Becomes the Student

I facilitate a group for our local meetup group. We had finished our curriculum and we decided we needed to get out and do some real shooting. Luckily we had a wonderful model that graciously volunteered to help us out. Any time you get to learn something new, it is a great thing!

Trojan Relays

One of the first really nice weekends of the spring and we had one of the first big track meets of the season. It was the Trojan Relays held in Rock Hill, SC. Teams from all over came to compete. It is amazing the abilities these high schoolers have.
I hope you enjoy the shots I have here. If you are interested in seeing more, go to SCRunners.com for the rest from the day.

A Beautiful Spring Day

After such a dismally cold and wet winter, a nice spring day was a welcome change. I went to one of the true hidden jewels in South Carolina to take a few pictures. If you are in the Rock Hill area, please make sure you put Glencairn Gardens on your to do list. It is a wonderful place to just spend some time relaxing. The picture above shows art work from the great artist Vernon Grant. He is one of Rock Hill's own. He designed the iconic characters "Snap, Crackle, and Pop" along with several other widely known carton characters. You can also see the beautiful colors that are found at the garden. Oh to see colors again, it was a wonderful day! Spring is coming!

I shot The Amazing Race, Bar Crawl 2010 to benefit RAIN this past weekend. As always, so much fun to be had. I love being able to be a part of such a dynamic group of people, having so much fun. I hope everyone had as much as I did. I can't wait until next year!
